Newtonmore clinched the runners up spot in the Marine Harvest Premier League with a double win over Inveraray on Saturday 8 November 2008.
The sides were due to meet at Inveraray's Winterton Park at the end of the month, but the pitch is suffering the after-affects of a recent music festival.
Therefore both clubs agreed to make their clash at th Eilan a double header which More won 5-4 to clinch four valuable points and the league runners up spot.
Camanachd Association official Astie Cameron is quoted in the Sunday Mail as saying " There was no chance of getting a game on at Winterton, so we decided to double up."
Scorers for More were Glen MacKintosh with two, a David Cheyne double and a strike from U17 star Rory Kennedy. Inveraray replied through a Grant Griffan brace, David Robertson and Neil Campbell.
