Strathglass shinty club has agreed a new management team to replace former boss Robert Geddes at their recent AGM.

The new manager will be forward Garry Reid who will assume a player manager role. Reid, who is the Camanachd Association's Youth Development Manager, will be assisted by David Balharry and Matt Jones.

Reid has been a prolific goalscorer for the club and the circumstances surrounding his appointment are remarkably similar to that of Geddes several years ago.

Geddes led Strathglass to their first appearance in the Marine Harvest Premier League in 2008 but despite a valiant battle, he was unable to save them from the drop to North Division 1 at the end of the season.

Reid's main aim will be to ensure that Strathglass finish runners up to Skye Camanachd in North Division 1 in 2009!!!
